Magnetic Bonsai Display Tree - Snap-On Foliage Pad

Note: If you don’t have magnets, you can glue the foliage pads in place or print small plugs to fill the holes. Magnets are only needed if you want to swap foliage for seasonal changes. 🌿
 

This parametric bonsai tree features a fused trunk-and-branch structure with 9 magnetic foliage pads that snap on and off via Ø3×1mm magnets, letting you rearrange the canopy or print seasonal color swaps anytime.
 

What's in the file (3 plates):
 

1. 🪵 Plate 1 — Trunk & Branches — Single-piece organic form with S-curved branches and visible tip knots. 
2. ⬛ Plate 2 — Display Base — Ribbed rectangular base with 2× Ø5×2mm magnet pockets. Black PLA. 
3. 🟢 Plate 3 — 9 Foliage Pads — 3 sizes (large, medium, small) with dome tops and flat mag-socket bottoms.

Print Instructions :
 

I printed this at lower speeds for better quality. You can optimize and increase speeds if you're confident with your printer settings. Set brim on the foliage pads to “Outer Only” for easier removal. Because Fuzzy Skin is used, the magnet holes may print slightly tight. If needed, gently widen them using pliers so the magnets fit without damaging the tips.
