Description

Flick it. Blow it. Watch it rip.

This spiral fidget spins fast with your fingers—and even faster with airflow.

A quick flick gets it moving smoothly between your fingers, while the spiral geometry lets you boost the speed by blowing across the blades. The result is a simple but highly satisfying toy that’s hard to put down.

The design prints as three simple parts and snaps together in seconds.

Perfect as a desk toy, pocket fidget, or a fun demonstration of airflow and rotational motion.

Features

  • Dual interaction: finger flick + blow-powered spinning
  • Satisfying, smooth rotation
  • 1hr print, using only 19g of filament
  • Compact pocket size
  • No magnets or bearings – fully 3D printed
  • Quick snap-fit assembly

Assembly

  1. Insert the shaft through the center of the spiral
  2. Push the cap onto the end of the shaft (a drop of superglue may be required depending on printer tolerance)
  3. Hold the shaft between finger and thumb
  4. Flick to spin, or blow across the blades to increase speed

Assembly takes about 10 seconds.

These designs were based on my other model which uses magnets to hover the spiral and make it spin for much longer, see below if you're interested!
