Description

Hi!

I've finally finished this Worms diorama! It took a bit longer than expected, mainly because I spent time testing parts and making sure everything fits and works properly.

Some features included in the model:

+ The worm looks closer to the in game style (based on Worms Ultimate Mayhem)

+ Main weapon (bazooka) ; Weapon crate, which also works as a support for the bazooka

+ A land mine, beam and a barrel

+ Diorama base to place everything

+ No part requires AMS, (crate requires two pause just in case)

+ The scale is about 40% larger than previous worm model, since working at a very small scale was a bit frustrating

- No hats this time :( mainly because the worm's diagonal pose made it quite difficult to add them

Printing Recommendations

Two profiles are included,

  1.  one includes the full diorama (worm, weapons, etc.). I mostly split the print plates by feature. It could be optimized further, but this is how I tested everything.
  2. The second profile is a lighter version: worm + bazooka + crate (used as a support for the bazooka). It does not include the base, mine, beam, or barrel.

Assembly Recommendations

For the bazooka, I recommend assembling it as shown in the image and then joining the parts together. Using glue is recommended for a stronger bond. There are 4 connectors for the bazooka; the one at the front is different from the others.

The rear part of the bazooka is pressure-fit: there are 4 small pegs that should snap into place,  you can feel it when it fits correctly

For the worm, the semi closed eye requires a bit more force to press in. I tried optimizing this piece several times, but didn’t have much success :(
