Bugatti Tourbillon - inspired Steering Wheel Wall Clock – 1:1 Scale

 

Bring hypercar styling to your wall with this 1:1 scale Bugatti Tourbillon-inspired steering wheel wall clock. Designed as a multi-part assembly project, this model makes a striking display piece once printed and built.

 

The design features a magnetic clock face for easy battery access. If you prefer a more original-style look, a standard airbag version without the clock option is also included. This version is also magnet-mounted but can be glued in place since rear access is not needed.

 

A non-branded airbag version is also included for those who want to add their own logo.

The steering wheel rim and airbag/clock face include embossed stitching details for added realism, which look even better when highlighted with a white acrylic marker after painting.

 

Many parts are oriented for the best surface finish, and although most parts require supports, they are designed to be easy to remove. Some components are also debossed with LH and RH markings to help with correct assembly.

 

The speedometer, airbag/clock face, and thumb controls require AMS for the fine details. 

The speedometer in particular has very fine detailing, and my print profile has been tuned through numerous test prints for the best possible result. 

An AMS steering wheel profile is also included, although print times can be long unless using a dual-nozzle printer such as the Bambu Lab H2D & H2C.

 

The rear includes 2 screw holes for wall mounting.

 

This is a fun project to assemble and a real conversation piece once finished.

Designing this model has been a really enjoyable challenge, and it’s inspired me to create more steering wheels in the same style.

You will need: glue, 10mm x 2mm round magnets, Clock Components Kit 011, 2 wall screws, and an optional white acrylic marker for the stitching.
