Clawd Mochi: Physical ESP32 Claude Code Mascot Bot

Clawd Mochi is a small animated desk companion inspired by Clawd — the pixel-crab mascot of Claude Code by Anthropic. It runs on an ESP32-C3 microcontroller paired with a 1.54" color TFT display and costs under $8 to build.

You control it entirely from your phone browser — no app needed. Connect to the built-in WiFi hotspot, open 192.168.4.1, and tap buttons to switch between animated eye expressions, a Claude Code text display with a working terminal, and a free-draw canvas mode.

What you need:

• ESP32-C3 Super Mini (~$2.50)
• ST7789 1.54" TFT 240×240 display (~$3.00)
• 8 short jumper wires (8–10 cm)
• 2× M2×6mm screws
• Tape
• USB-C cable for power

Print settings:

• Material: PLA or PETG
• Layer height: 0.15–0.20mm
• Infill: 15% gyroid
• Supports: yes (display window overhang)
• Orientation: face-down, flat back on plate

The case has two parts — body and back plate. Suggested color: orange.
