4/21/2026 Update:
I was frustrated with all the travel tickets getting disorganized and messy in my Scotland Yard board game box, so I designed a simple container for storing them. The lid easily slides on and off and there is a lip on the end to keep the box shut when not in use.
You can either print them in the corresponding colors, or rely on the opening at the top to view what's in them (also handy for pushing the container apart). The model also has notches that correspond with the number of pieces for each player based on height. I'd still recommend counting, but based on my (almost unused) set, it's quite accurate.
Please measure your pieces prior to printing and compare them to the model. My tickets are 20mm X 35mm and fit comfortably in the box. I'm unsure if there are different version which have larger or smaller tickets.
I will note that the tolerances may cause the box to be too tight or too loose. Please be sure to print a test print to ensure your printer or filament does not run into issues with too tight or loose of a lid. My P1S has poor tolerance (~.15-20mm of space for friction fit) vs my A1 which has very good tolerance (~.1mm for friction fit). These were printed on my P1S where a larger tolerance is needed in order for the lid to slide on properly and fit snug at the bottom. Different filaments will also yield different results as my matte red was loose compared to my standard PLA, but still worked nicely.
Thanks for trying out my print! If you have any questions, concerns, requests, or feedback, please let me know.
