I’ve reduced the tolerances of the gears after several of you reported, that the internal gears were falling out. This update should fix the issue. Thanks for the feedback!

 

New planetary gear fidget spinner with sliders inside it!

This is a print in place planetary gear fidget spinner, with six sliding elements inside the ring gear. As you spin it, the sliders move outward due to the centrifugal force, but as the spin slows down they fall back, creating an interesting, engaging motion pattern. You can play around with the speeds, as it creats different motions.

It spins very smooth straight off the bulid plate, but depends on your printer accuracy you may need to break the moving parts free.

 

There are three print profiles available:

-Two colors for Dual nozzle systems (H2D/H2C)

 The planet gears and the sliders are different colors

 

-Two colors for AMS with single nozzle

 The top and bottom 3 layers are different colors on the sliders and on the planet gears 

 Optimized filament usage with minimal waste

 

-Single color
