Description

This Rocket has been optimized for high flying. The fins are counterintuitively large to ensure the rocket spends more time flying straight, which is its most aerodynamic direction. So although it seems like sleeker fins would be better, in real world flight and at the speeds these model rockets fly, having the fins larger and correct faster is actually more aerodynamic.  Also the fins are air foil shaped which allows for reduced drag and better corrections.  The nose cone is parabolic which is the most aerodynamic shape, again for the speeds this rocket flies.  If printed with PETG then often just tying the two halves together with thin steel wire or cord will allow it to survive without a parachute or streamer.  Great with PLA but not as survivable.  For the highest flight, reduce the number of print walls. As is, with 3 walls the Rocket weighs 70 grams when printed with PLA. If the Motor is to tight, you can shave down the edge of the top of the motor.  If it is too loose, wrap it with some tape.  Same with the upper half, if the fit is a little loose you can wrap with electrical tape or some other tape to tighten the tolerances.
