The Jean Bart was a legendary French battleship of the Richelieu class, renowned for its unique quadruple main turrets and its historical significance as the last battleship ever completed. This highly detailed 1:625 scale 3D model presents the ship in true-to-scale form with carefully crafted superstructures, armament, and deck details – ideal for collectors of historical naval vessels and maritime modeling enthusiasts.
The Jean Bart, named after the famous 17th-century French privateer, was the second battleship of the Richelieu class and stands as a testament to naval resilience. Her story began in 1936, but she was still incomplete when France fell in 1940. In a daring escape, she fled from Saint-Nazaire to Casablanca to avoid capture. It was there, while still missing her second main turret, that she famously engaged in a duel with the USS Massachusetts during Operation Torch in 1942. After the war, she was finally completed and modernized, eventually becoming the last battleship ever commissioned in the world. Her unique silhouette, featuring all eight 380mm guns in two quadruple turrets on the foredeck, remains a masterpiece of French naval engineering.
This 1:625 scale replica of the Jean Bart has been meticulously designed to balance extreme historical accuracy with practical 3D printing. At this scale, the model measures approximately 396 mm in length.
