Classic Gas-Station Style Light Sign - (no AMS)

Customizable Retro Light Frame 🔧✨

This model is designed as a fully customizable illuminated display frame.
The showcased Indian Motorcycle graphic is not included as a printable file—it was painted onto canvas. This means you can easily add your own artwork, logo, or design, making every build unique.

🔩 Assembly & Structure

The entire assembly is held together using two M4 × 30 mm screws that run through:

• the base
• the upper ring
• the LED panel mount

Embedded nut cavities keep everything securely in place (hold the nuts while tightening).

Depending on your print tolerances or if you paint the parts, you may want to add a small amount of glue at the top of the ring to fully close it.

The base also includes space for electronics, such as:

• voltage regulator
• switch
• custom wiring

💡 Smart Magnetic Activation

A standout feature is the magnetic on/off mechanism:

• A magnetic sensor is installed inside the base
• The front activator piece (with logo) contains magnets
• The circuit remains off by default
• When the activator is placed → lamp turns on automatically

This creates a clean, hidden, and satisfying interaction—no visible switch needed.

🔲 LED Panel Compatibility

The included mount is designed for:

• 135 × 135 mm square LED panel
• 2 mm thickness

You can easily modify or redesign the mount for other panels if needed.

🧲 Magnetic Activator Options

Two versions are included:

• Detailed logo version (STEP + STL) → for multi-color (AMS) or fine printing
• Simple version (STL) → single color, easy to print

Additionally:

• Profiles available for 0.2 mm nozzle (high detail)
• and 0.4 mm nozzle (standard)

👉 Tip: Use a 0.2 mm nozzle for the logo version—details look significantly sharper.

All activator print profiles include a pause before closing the magnet cavity, so you can insert the magnets mid-print.

🖼️ Canvas Mounting

• Designed for canvas inserts
• Mounting holes fit ~1 mm nails

🔴 Light Ring & Backplate

• The front red ring is simply glued onto the light ring → no AMS required
• The backplate:
  • friction-fit by default
  • can be magnetized or glued (not recommended if you want access to electronics)

🎨 Finishing Recommendations

For best results:

1. Lightly sand all visible surfaces
2. Apply spray paint for a premium finish

✨ Recommended:

• Glossy metallic (e.g. silver) for a polished look
• Or matte finishes for a more subtle aesthetic

🧲 Magnets

Designed to work with standard small insert magnets ( 5mm x 10mm x 2mm )
(I used official Bambu Lab magnets, but similar sizes will work)
