Modular Fly Swatter - The Omni-Handle System

Swat bugs in style with this fully customizable, Modular Fly Swatter!

 

Because standard fly swatters are usually too long to print in one piece on smaller machines, this model is specifically broken down into separate screw-together components. This means it fits perfectly on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini (or any other small build-plate printer), while also allowing you to mix, match, and extend!

 

✨ Key Features:

• Stackable Reach: Need to reach a bug high up on the ceiling? Print multiple shaft pieces and screw them together! You can customize the length from a short, close-range swatter to an ultra-long bug sniper.
• TPU Swatter Head: The heads are designed to be printed in flexible TPU. This ensures your swatter won't snap upon impact and won't damage your walls or furniture!
• Two Head Patterns Included: Choose between a classic Hex pattern or a Linear diamond grid.
• Multi-Color Fun: Mix and match your filament colors for the handle, shafts, collar, and head to create a unique look.
• Repairable: If a part breaks, you only need to reprint that specific piece instead of the whole swatter.

 

🖨️ Printing Recommendations:

• Swatter Head: TPU is highly recommended for flexibility and durability.
• Grip, Shafts, & Collar: PLA, PETG, or ABS/ASA for a rigid, sturdy handle.
• Infill: 15-20% for the rigid parts; you can experiment with the TPU head depending on how "floppy" you want it.

🔧 Assembly:
Simply thread the pieces together! Slide the collar over the head's base, screw your shaft(s) into the grip, and then screw the head assembly onto the top of your shaft.

 

🌐 THE OMNI-HANDLE SYSTEM
This project includes the complete setup (Grip, Shaft, Collar, and Swatter Heads). Once you print this universal handle, you can easily unscrew the swatter and swap it for other attachments in the Omni-Handle ecosystem!
