Paper Airplane Style Glider

This design is modeled after the current world record holding paper airplane which flew over 300 ft. While this glider isn't quite as good as that, it is still able to get great glide time and easily slice through the air. 

There are three different print profiles: one that is just 3D printed, one that has a penny inside of it, and one that has a nickel inside of it. 
I would recommend using one of the coin profiles if you can (nickel is optimal but they are very similar) because they require minimal more effort and fly much better. If you do choose one of the coin variants, there is already a pause in the print profile so all you need to do is put your coin of choice in the cavity once your printer pauses. Once your coin is inserted as shown in the image below, simply resume the print.

Another feature of this glider is the addition of flaps on the back of the wings. You should light fold them up to help increase the glide time. If you feel like the glider is diving down to quickly, just bend up the flaps a little more until you get the glide you are looking for.  An example of what I used is shown in the image below.

 

It is also likely that the glider will want to either bank left or right. If this is the case, slight adjustments to the back flaps can easily fix this. If the glider has a tendency to bank right, slightly bend the left flap up. If the glider has a tendency to bank lefft, slightly bend the right flap up. The key here is minor adjustments in between throws.

Lastly, I would recommend only using this outdoors. This thing can pick up some serious momentum and has a chance of damaging something inside your house (you have been warned). If the glider ends up cracking after hitting concrete or something, I have found that a little tape is plenty to fix almost any damage.
