Description
A custom Gridfinity-compatible smart home remote holder for the IKEA Bilresa remote control.
Â
The design allows the remote to be easily reachable at an angle. It is useful when you have a grid on your office desk and control Matter devices. I use it as a light switch and to control a fan in the room.
Â
It is a solid Gridfinity Extended bin (2x1x6) with a custom cutout for the remote. The file was created with Fusion 360, and the project contains a ZIP file with the f3d file in case you want to make any changes.
Â
The remote will sit quite tightly in the holder. To remove it for battery replacement, you can use a small tool (toothpick, tweezers, small pocketknife, etc.). I also added a 3mm hole so you can push the remote out from the back. I used a short piece of filament.
Â
Printing Notes:
- Prints without supports
- A brim is recommended to prevent warping
