Compatible with EBE5307SA and similar models.
If you’ve been a bit too eager to reopen the fridge right after closing it, you know how easily these pedestals can snap under the vacuum seal pressure. This model is a 3D-printable replacement designed to get your fridge handle back in working order without the OEM tax.
- Compatibility Note: This specific model is designed for the bottom pedestal. The top pedestal uses a different internal orientation. While similar, this model would require modification (not just a simple rotation) to fit the top position.
Print Details
The provided .3mf contains a pre-configured print profile optimized for mechanical strength.
- Material: PETG or ASA is highly recommended. These materials offer better impact resistance and slight flexibility compared to PLA, which can be too brittle for the constant tension of a fridge handle.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm.
- Wall Loops: Increased to 4 walls. This is a functional part, the strength comes from the walls rather than the infill.
- Infill: 25% Gyroid. This provides excellent multidirectional support to prevent the pedestal from crushing when the screws are tightened.
- Supports: Tree Supports are required for the internal cavities and the underside.
Assembly & Usage
- Orientation: Ensure you are replacing the lower handle mount.
- Installation: Carefully remove the remnants of the broken pedestal. To get the handle off the fridge, slide it upwards. Remove the broken pedestal and replace. I swapped the fridge handle pedestals with the freezer handle pedestals, as the freezer doesn't get used as much, nor close as tightly.
- Fitment: This was designed specifically for the Electrolux EBE5307SA. However, many Electrolux and Westinghouse models appear to share the same handle architecture.
