Samsung Galaxy S9 deck

Turn your old Samsung Galaxy S9 into a fully capable cyberdeck

What you need:

• Samsung Galaxy S9
• This keyboard https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005009849776445.html
• Printed  top cover, bottom cover, 3 x hinges
• 4 pieces of 5x3 mm round magnets
• 3 pieces of M3 20 mm length screws (and bolts)
• Thick double sided tape

What is optional:

• This dongle https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005006955011616.html
• Printed dongle holder, feet, camera ring
• Superglue (glue these accessories to the case)

After printing:

• Look into custom ROMs for galaxy s9. This one is running Lineage OS 20 with microG (other options include Noble ROM, Duhan ROM, Floyd ROM)
• Unlock developer options to allow home screen rotation, change colors of light indicators, or add taskbar by increasing screen density to 600 (android 12L+)
• Change the default launcher for a more modern home screen.
• With this ROM, desktop mode actually works very well (connecting phone to a monitor via hdmi), but you might experience flickering. This is easily fixable, just disable HW overlays in developer options.
