Description
Designed for sci-fi wargaming, tabletop skirmishes, and dynamic diorama displays, this highly detailed close-combat proxy is built to represent your fiercest melee-focused mobile fighters while providing an iconic, aggressive silhouette across the battlefield. Engineered with FDM and resin tabletop printing in mind, the model features signature animalistic proportions, a devastating ultra-large mace, razor-sharp claws, and a segmented tail blade that prints cleanly while maintaining its brutal, visceral aesthetic.
Serving as both a lethal frontline unit and an immersive tabletop centerpiece, this miniature embodies pure savage superiority. The feral, combat-ready pose mounts securely onto the included standardized hexagonal tech-base, while the massive, elongated arms create a menacing tabletop presence. The intricate exposed inner frame, distinctive v-fin head-crest, and ferocious clawed appendages make it a true essential for any high-tech sci-fi army or skirmish board.
Dimensions & Scale Height: approx. 52mm Scale: Tabletop Mecha Scale (approx. 6mm - 10mm wargaming scale)
FDM Printing Recommendations (Optimized for Bambu Lab A1) Optimization: Designed to push the limits of FDM detail. Due to the complex, protruding geometry—specifically the delicate v-fin antenna, the elongated clawed fingers, and the heavy mace—this model requires careful orientation. Angling the model backward slightly (around 15-20 degrees) on your A1 build plate will help hide layer lines on the primary focal points: the faceplate, chest armor, and prominent front skirts. Layer Height: Recommended 0.08mm (Extra Fine) to 0.12mm (Fine). Pushing your printer to a 0.08mm layer height is critical to ensure the intricate head-crest, exposed hydraulic pistons on the waist, and the segmented tail blade resolve cleanly without looking stepped or blocky. Supports: Organic/Tree supports are mandatory for this print. Generate slim tree supports specifically targeting the lowest points of the heavy mace, the extended tail blade, the elongated forearms, and the overhanging shoulder armor. Ensure the Z-distance for supports is dialed in (0.2mm is standard, but you may want to test 0.16mm for cleaner undersides on the Bambu A1) for easy removal without snapping the delicate digits or waist frame. Nozzle: While highly printable with the stock 0.4mm Bambu nozzle, swapping to a 0.2mm nozzle is highly recommended for this specific model. The smaller extrusion width will dramatically improve the sharpness of the micro-details, particularly the panel lines on the armor plating and the intricate mechanical details of the exposed inner frame. Assembly: If printing the miniature and the hexagonal base separately to optimize orientation, they can be permanently bonded using standard cyanoacrylate (CA/super glue).
