This tiny weird legend waddled straight out of evolution’s “let’s try everything” phase and landed right on your build plate. With its big round head, chunky little body, and that iconic bill, it’s impossible not to love… even if you’re slightly confused the whole time 😏
The flexible segmented body makes it super fun to move, turning it into a perfect little fidget buddy or desk companion.

Quick, clean, and still super cute. The shape holds up really well even without extra colors.
🔹 Multicolor
This is where it really shines 🔥
That bright bill + body contrast gives it a ton of personality.
Just keep in mind: color changes = longer print time + more waste.
💡 Pro tip: Don’t print just one!
If you're already committing to a multicolor print, fill the plate with more platypuses. You’ll reduce waste and end up with a whole squad of these weird little creatures 😄
Also… it’s plastic. Prints fail sometimes. Better to have extras than regret a long print gone wrong.

🧠 This model was initially inspired by an AI-generated concept, with base geometry processed through MakerWorld’s Image-to-3D tool.
🛠️ The resulting mesh was then imported into Nomad Sculpt, where I manually increased resolution, refined surface details, smoothed key areas, and adjusted the pose for better balance and printability.
📸 All photos shown are of the actual printed model, tested on multiple plate sizes and verified for clean print performance.
