Description

This is a handy 3D-printed magnet applicator designed specifically for 6mm x 3mm magnets (part number CA010). It makes inserting magnets into printed parts quick, clean, and safe—keeping your fingers away from strong magnetic attraction.

⚠️ Commercial Use Requires Active Subscription. Free for personal use. Selling prints requires an active HexByte Commercial License — rights end on cancellation, including for existing inventory. See profile to subscribe.

🧲 Features:

  • Designed for 6x3mm round magnets
  • Ergonomic grip for controlled placement
  • Works perfectly with both north and south pole orientations

🧭 Determining Magnet Polarity

Before inserting magnets, it’s important to know which side is north and which is south. Here’s how to find out using a small compass:

  1. Prepare your magnet and a compass.
  2. Place the magnet close to the compass needle without touching it.
  3. The north-seeking end (red) of the compass needle will point toward the magnet’s south pole.
  4. The south-seeking end (white) of the needle will point toward the magnet’s north pole.
  5. Mark or remember which face of the magnet is which before loading it into the applicator.
  6. Insert the magnet into the tool so that the correct pole faces outward according to your model’s design.

💡 Tips:

  • Check your model’s documentation to see which polarity is required for each slot.
  • Always test-fit before gluing.
  • If you have multiple magnets, label them or store them separately by polarity to avoid confusion.
