Description
I designed this because the gap between my sink and the back wall was constantly a mess, especially after washing cutting boards. This is a two-piece drip tray that catches water and directs it back into the basin. It is a slim 8cm deep, so it fits in those narrow spaces where standard mats usually won't. It works especially well for propping up wet cutting boards to air dry.
The model consists of two separate 25cm wide sections. When placed together, they cover a total width of 50cm. Drainage angle is controlled by the risers.
While the trays are a fixed size, the risers are fully customizable because every sink has a different rim height.
Don't reach for the glue immediately.
If you end up using this for your kitchen, let me know how the fit is. I'm curious if the 8cm depth works for most people's cutting boards or if I should look into a wider version later.
