Nordic Folk Plate Cutter – Clay Cutter

A clean and functional clay cutter designed to create decorative ceramic plates with a Nordic folk-inspired edge. This model pairs perfectly with my Nordic Folk stamp to create a consistent handmade style.

Recommended Print Settings (Bambu Studio)

Layer height: 0.16 – 0.20 mm
Wall loops: 2–3 walls
Infill: 10–15% (grid or gyroid)
Top/Bottom layers: 3–4
Seam position: Back or aligned
Supports: Not required
Brim: Optional (for extra stability)

Material Recommendations

PLA (standard): easiest to print, works well for clay
PLA+ / Tough PLA: more durable for frequent use
PETG: more flexible, slightly softer cutting edge

Print Notes

Print flat on the build plate
Ensure the first layer is well calibrated for a sharp cutting edge
Avoid elephant foot (use compensation if needed)
For best results, keep edges clean and free of stringing

Post-Processing

Light sanding of the cutting edge (optional)
Clean with a damp cloth after use
Do not use in a dishwasher or expose to high heat

Outer diameter: As per model (can be scaled to your preference; note that scaling up slightly increases cutting edge thickness)
Height: As per model (adjustable depending on preference)
Wall thickness: Optimized for strength and sharpness
