Bambu 4-piece Needle File Set Gridfinity Holder

This is a lightweight gridfinity holder for the Bambu 4-piece Needle File Set.  I tried to optimize it to reduce the filament used while still holding each file well. The actual holder is a separate object so if you don't want to use the 2 x 4 Gridfinity bin I selected you can print it by itself or use your own and put it into another container within the slicer.  To that end the print profile contains two plates:  one with the holder and a standard 2 x 4 x 3h Gridfinity bin and one plate with just the holder.

 

 

Customizing the Color

If you want to customize the color like I have in the photos you can do this in the slicer:

1. Select the object you want to paint (the tool holder).
2. Click the "Color Painting" icon that looks like a paint can or press N on your keyboard.
3. Select the filament you will be coloring with.
4. Under "Tool Type" click the 4th icon for "Height Range".
5. Set the range to the maximum 8mm and also check the box "Place input box of bottom near mouse".
6. This model is 21mm tall. Hover over the top edge of the model then in the box that pops up type in 17 and click OK. This will create a 4mm band going up starting at 17mm high.
7. Click Return. 

You should now have the original color from the base up to 17mm and then your new color from there to the top.
