This rig is way too capable to keep inside! When you take it out to the rocks, this roll cage adds a ton of protection for those inevitable rollovers. Not only does it keep your body intact, but it looks great doing it.
Installation Notes
- Hardware: This mounts using M2 bolts.
- Rear Mount: It utilizes the rear two holes for the body mount clip. You will need longer screws than the stock ones; M2 x 16mm is what I think I used.
- Front Mount: First, bolt the cage onto the rear body holes to hold it in position. Second, use a 1/16" drill bit to drill two holes through the hood using the cage as your guide. Third, secure the front with M2 x 6mm or 8mm bolts, a small washer, and a locknut.
Printing Notes
- I printed using PLA+, but PETG or ABS would be fine as well. It's not an easy print and uses a lot of supports, but it results in a nice clean one piece roll cage which keeps the weight down so you don't sacrifice raising you COG too much.
