The Capsuleer x2 (AM/PM Edition)

The Capsuleers (v1, v2, and v3) have been downloaded thousands of times, but one request kept coming up again and again:

“Any chance you’ll make an AM/PM version?”

Today, the AM/PMers rejoice — the Capsuleer x2 has arrived.

Built on the refinements of Capsuleer v2 and v3, the x2 is everything you already love, but with twice the bins. Morning pills? Night pills? Two weeks’ worth? You’ve got room now. After more than 11kg of filament worth of design, testing, tweaking, and re-tweaking, this is officially the largest and most capable Capsuleer yet.

The Capsuleer x2 is a seriously awesome AM/PM pill box that money can’t buy — it locks, isolates pills, and makes refills cleverly easy.

Important Printing Notes (Please Read — Future You Will Thank You)

• Let the covers cool completely before removing them from the plate. Removing early can cause warping or brittleness, and then everyone’s sad.
• First layer quality really matters here. Dirty plates, bulging lines, or wavy first layers will make the covers less smooth and more fragile. If needed, follow Bambu’s first-layer troubleshooting guide before printing the covers.
• PETG is strongly recommended for the covers. PLA can work, but PETG handles the flexibility demands far better.
• Dry your PETG. Moist PETG leads to weak, unhappy covers — and we all deserve better than that.
• The provided print profile includes very specific orientations, modifiers, and infill directions to reduce friction and ensure proper motion. Printing as-is is highly recommended.
• Covers and dial have a short break-in period and will feel smoother after a few days of use.
• This model has tight tolerances and lots of motion — printers slightly out of tune may struggle.
• X and P Series printers: uncheck flow calibration when printing the covers.
• OrcaSlicer users - You must set Support Type to Tree (auto), Support Style to Tree Hybrid, and Solid infill direction to 90. Orca changes other stuff too, but these settings are critical for success.

Assembly Steps

1. Choose your size and print the bin, dial, and two covers (using different colors for AM/PM is highly recommended).
2. Remove support from the bin, making absolutely sure nothing remains in the dial area.
3. Rub a crayon along all cover edges — sides, start, and end. This dramatically improves smoothness. Yes, really. Borrow one from a kid if needed.
4. Insert the first cover from the top, non-handle end first.
5. Flip the model over and repeat for the second cover.
6. Slide both covers back and forth once or twice to begin the break-in process.
7. Slide both covers fully inside the bin area.
8. Snap the dial onto the front — tolerances are tight, firm pressure is normal.
9. Rotate the dial fully several times to help it break in.
10. Align the dial to the thick horizontal line for refilling and ensure the protrusions are lined up.
11. Slide the top cover to expose all bins (a portion of the cover will extend through the middle of the dial — that’s normal).
12. Refill.
13. Close the top cover completely.
14. Flip the model and repeat steps 11–13 for the other side.
15. Turn the dial to the single vertical line to dispense.
16. Slide to the desired day.
17. Pour pills into your hand like a champion.
18. At week’s end, close both covers and repeat steps 10–15.
19. To lock, close both covers and turn the dial to the double vertical lines.
