Description
Fruit fly traps are practical – but often look unsightly and don't really fit into a well-kept kitchen or dining room. That's exactly what I wanted to change:
It was important to me that this project is not only practical but also enjoyable to look at. I wanted to design a trap that you would be happy to leave in the kitchen or dining room. So if you're looking for a trap that doesn't look like one but still works like one - I'm happy to share this model with you.
After many attempts, adjustments, and test prints, this model was created.
I made a special effort to make the trap as simple as possible to assemble while creating a beautiful, natural appearance.
Due to its modular design, it can be printed without AMS. Altough for the insert its easier to print with AMS.
Follow this guide to place the leaves - I suggest to use some glue to secure them although I put little guides on the tree arms to hold them in place.
To setup the trap - Simply put some vinegar and sugar in the bonsai pot. - Done.
I advise you to print the bonsai pot with PETG since the lure consists of vinegar and sugar. This mixture can be aggressive to PLA.
