Overview

Two-part clamping mount designed to hold an Apple AirTag on an electric scooter.

 

Background

I originally designed this for my own PURE electric scooter to mount an AirTag in a discreet way. The result turned out exactly how I wanted, so I decided to share it for others who want a similar solution.

 

Compatibility

Inner diameter: 42.5 mm
Designed specifically for a PURE scooter. Compatibility with other scooters is not tested.

 

Hardware

 

• 1× M2 x 19 mm screw
• 2× M2 x 21 mm screws
• 3× M2 hex nuts

Design

Split clamping design that secures the AirTag firmly while allowing easy installation. The shape is made to blend in with the scooter for a stealth appearance.

 

Print Instructions

 

The model is split into four print steps for best results.

 

• Main Body
  Print this part alone on the build plate to achieve the best surface quality and avoid visual artifacts.
• Retainer Plug
  Required part that holds the AirTag securely inside the enclosure and prevents movement.
• Washers (Optional)
  Can be used to increase friction and distribute pressure from the screws. Not required for function
• Sleeve (Optional)
  Cosmetic cover for the screw holes. Attached using double-sided tape. Only for appearance and not required for function.

 

Material

Printed in TPU 95A HF for improved impact resistance, since theft attempts often involve blunt force.

 

Modification

STEP files are included, making it easy to adapt the model to other scooters if needed.
