Description
🌱 A compact corm propagation cup designed to create a simple, controlled humidity environment using a small built-in water reservoir.
The “PuddleCup” system allows corms to sit above water on a vented insert, providing consistent humidity without direct contact — reducing the risk of rot while encouraging healthy growth.
Ideal for small-scale propagation and testing individual corms in a clean, contained setup.
The design consists of three parts:
• Outer Cup (Reservoir)
Creates a small water reservoir at the base
• Vented Insert Tray
Sits on an internal ledge above the water
Supports the corm while allowing airflow and moisture transfer
• Lid
Keeps humidity contained and stable
The corm sits on the insert — never directly in water — while humidity rises from the reservoir below.
This creates a passive humidity dome effect without oversaturating the corm.
• Reduces risk of rot from direct water contact
• Maintains consistent humidity levels
• Simple, low-maintenance setup
• Easy to monitor progress
• Compact and space-efficient
• Designed for small corms and early-stage propagation
• Small propagation setups
• Controlled humidity environments
Recommended Material:
• PETG (recommended for humidity resistance)
Print Notes:
• Designed to print with no supports required
• Ensure good layer adhesion for watertight reservoir
• Avoid overfilling reservoir — only a small amount of water is needed
