The Ultimate Alliance: The Totem of the Rune Forge 🐺🐻🐗
Sometimes, a single legend just isn't enough. When the guardians of the North unite, something powerful is born: the Forest Totem.
I’ve combined the three heavyweights of my Rune Series – Fenrir (Wolf), Bödvar (Bear), and Hildisvíni (Boar) – into one massive pillar. This isn't just a 3D print; it’s the elite security team for your desk. While the Wolf plans the strategy and the Bear holds the line, the Boar makes sure your colleagues don't "borrow" your pens without asking. Epic? Yes. A bit intimidating? Definitely.
To make sure the totem looks as detailed as the one in the photos, here is the battle plan:
Orientation: Must be printed standing (vertically)! This ensures maximum sharpness in the fur and makes the runes pop perfectly.
Material: Matte black PLA (the perfect canvas for the final finish).
Layer Height: 0.16 mm (the sweet spot between print time and extreme detail).
Supports: Yes, supports are naturally required. I recommend organic tree supports – they can be removed cleanly without damaging the structure.
Finishing & Look (God Mode Activated ⚡)
The totem looks powerful in plain black, but if you want that "fresh from the forge" look, grab a brush:
I finished this model using the Dry-Brushing technique. Use metallic paints like bronze, gold, and copper to highlight the edges and runes. Very little paint on the brush, huge effect on the model. The result looks like heavy metal pulled straight out of a Viking hall.
