Spinner Chain Flip 2.0 - Strong Modular Fidget

🪀 Spinner Chain Flip 2.0 is a ground‑up rebuild of my original chain flipper—engineered for strength, consistency, and modular play. The first version needed brims and could be unpredictable depending on your printer. This redesign fixes all of that. Every link prints in an extremely strong orientation, making the fidget far more durable and reliable while still keeping the motion smooth and satisfying.
 

The chain system is now fully modular. The default build includes six links—three in one color, three in another—with matching striped end rings. Add or remove links to tune the length and feel, or mix colors to create your own patterns. This version prioritizes function over form, with geometry optimized for durability and repeatable prints.
 

Three print profiles are included: AMS‑Friendly, Non‑AMS, and a Solid‑Color version for simple, dependable printing. 

 

If you want extra links, just print Plate 2 from the Non‑AMS profile — it includes three additional links already separated. I’m considering creating a dedicated “extra rings only” profile as well… would that be helpful for your workflow?

Snap each link together firmly, alternating colors as you go — the tight fit is intentional for long‑term strength.

The links use a firm snap‑fit that may feel tight during assembly. This is intentional — the stronger engagement makes the chain far more resistant to popping apart and dramatically improves long‑term durability.

The end rings print with small, intentional supports to ensure maximum strength and reliability once assembled. These are quick to remove and help reinforce the overall durability of the fidget.
