Description

UPDATE: As some people experienced tight fitting threads I uploaded a new profile for just the Lid where i almost doubled the tolerances so that the threads fit. I case you need it you can try out the updated lid.

I got tired of spreading fertilizer using improvised tools like shovels or old planting pots, so I designed this dedicated spreader with a capacity of approximately 680 ml (23 fl oz).

 

The model is designed as a simple 3-part assembly that requires no additional hardware or tools. All parts fit together directly. Overhangs are optimized to print cleanly with almost no supports while maintaining a good surface finish.

 

The threaded lid is designed to stop exactly at the correct position, aligning the scoop perfectly. The perforated insert snaps into place with a bit of force, as shown in the GIF.

 

For improved grip and aesthetics, the outer surface features a hexagonal texture.

 

Material choice depends on your environment. If the spreader is stored indoors in a cool place, PLA works well. For warmer or outdoor conditions, PETG, ABS, or similar materials are recommended for better durability.

 

Suitable for spreading seeds, fertilizer, salt, or similar granular materials.
