Boost MeEvery boost helps motivate me to keep restoring and importing more great works of art into MakerWorld. Thanks for supporting this ongoing project!

This remix is based on a classical-style female figure carrying an amphora (water vessel), representing a traditional water bearer or nymph-like subject. While not tied to a specific named mythological figure, the sculpture draws heavily from 19th-century neoclassical and academic traditions, which emphasized idealized anatomy, graceful posture, and flowing drapery. The relaxed contrapposto stance, soft facial expression, and detailed garment folds reflect a focus on form and balance rather than narrative symbolism.

I imported the original model into Bambu Studio, oriented it for optimal printing, and scaled it to the maximum dimensions supported by A1, P1, and X1 printers. I optimized infill settings to balance structural stability with material efficiency while preserving fine surface detail.

Printing this model is generally straightforward, but there is one key challenge: the amphora and raised arm create an overhang that benefits from targeted support. I recommend using “support critical areas only” as a base and adding support under the vessel if needed. The rest of the model—especially the drapery—prints cleanly and resolves very well.

Post-processing is minimal, though light cleanup may be needed around the support contact points near the arm and vessel. The smooth surfaces and layered fabric folds respond well to fine-grit sanding if you’re aiming for a more polished, sculpture-like finish.

This type of model really shines in stone-style filaments—marble, sandstone, or bone tones—since they emphasize the sculptural depth and give the piece a more authentic, museum-like appearance.

Printed in Elegoo Marble PLA using the Generic High-Speed PLA profile.

Note: Tall prints can lose adhesion in the final moments. Please wash your build plate prior to printing. Or consider scaling down 10%. I've also had really good luck using BIQU Cryogrip Pro Frostbite build plates.
