Description
Remix of gleonard3's flexible Pixel 9/9Pro case. Must be printed in TPU. The main case is also compatible with the Pixel 9 Pro, but the lens cover isn't because that camera layout is different on that phone and I don't have one to measure the correct hole locations and sizes.
Changes:
The main phone case MUST be printed in TPU. I have not tested it with TPU for AMS, but it will probably also work.
The lens cover can be printed in any material, doesn't have to be TPU.
Remember that the back of the case is going to have the same texture as your build plate. I personally think a completely smooth plates provides the best feel. A thin layer of gluestick on the plate will help the TPU come off easier.
I'm including a “manual multi-color” plate for the phone case that has pauses in two different spots. You can manually change the filament at these pauses to get a case with 3 different color sections. This plate also has two cubes that act as wipe towers at the two pause heights to help ensure the hotend is clean after a color swap before it resumes printing to case.
Although Bambu printers include an “Unload” button to unload the current external filament spool while it's paused, I recommend unloading TPU manually. In my testing the Unload process has a tendency to fail to fully cut the TPU and leave filament partially stuck in the extruder, with no way to cancel the Unload process. And while the Unload process is active the printer prevents you from changing the hotend temperature. I lost two test prints to that problem.
Once the filament is unloaded you can use the Load function to easily load the new external filament spool.
Use your flush cutters to remove stray filament from the port holes (top and bottom), and around the inside of the side buttons. TPU doesn't bridge very well, so the bottom ports will definitely need some trimming.
Put the lens cover over the phone. Ensure it easily fits, and the holes are aligned with the sensors. Then put the phone into the case.
