Print-in-Place noisy Clackers!

Boost MeMade it clack? give me a boost! (please)

Design features

  • Zero assembly - Print in place!
  • Rigid arms printed horizontally  - Strong!
  • Carefully tuned weight distribution in the attached print profiles!
  • Optimized for a satisfying “Clack” sound

Tested with PLA 🤪

How to play

  1.  Hold the handle - Horizontally, vertically, it doesn't matter, you will figure it out.
  2.  Make the balls hit each other, make them collide!
  3.  Hear that Clacking noise every time you transfer energy from one ball to the other! (Newton would be proud!)

Notes on printing

This is a print-in-place design, so you wont have to assembly anything, however

  • It's print orientation increases the strength. It needs supports. You will have to remove them with some pliers.
  • There are small supports in the rings' center
    • Carefully rotate the arms/balls to break the supports. They will fall off
    • Continue rotating the handle while holding the arms, the idea is to break/grind the inner supports
    • Use some thin tweezers or a thin cutter to grind and knock the inner supports off.
  • Keep rotating the arms! Eventually all the supports will fall off and the arms will rotate seamlessly (trust me, I have printed several)

This is how it sounds!

Boost MeMade it this far? why not boost me? :) Thanks!
