Description
A 3D-printable reference plate designed to visually compare common cinema camera sensor/film gate formats. The model uses a 15-perf 65mm film frame (commonly known as IMAX 15/70) as the outer boundary, with nested gates representing formats.
Formats:
Super 16, Super 35, Full Frame (36×24), Eterna 55, Alexa 65, and 15 PERF 65mm. (WRITTEN ON BACK)
Each frame is proportionally scaled to help illustrate differences in field of view, crop, and image area at a glance. It makes a useful tool for filmmakers, photographers, and anyone learning about camera formats.
The design is an accurate 1:1 65mm film strip and to-scale gate/sensor sizes.
You can use the perforation holes for keychains or anything you want!
NOTE: If you're downloading and printing on your own, make sure Wall generator mode is set to ARACHNE.
H2C with 7 colors OR Full Spectrum (Color Dithering) is supported if you download the .obj file with the color data embedded. Map your colors as needed.
