The Elefant (German for "elephant") was one of Germany’s heaviest WWII tank destroyers, feared for its massive gun, thick armor, and brutal battlefield presence. used by German Panzerjäger (anti-tank) units during World War II. A very impressive tank for display or your war game table.
- Scale: 1:72 (about the size of a computer mouse for reference) If you want 1:100 scale I got you covered here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2730320-elefant-tank-ww2-german-tank-destroyer-1-100-scale#profileId-3025993
- I have painstakingly trialed a lot of support settings. There are a lot of tweaks away from the default so please use the 3mf file with the custom supports.
- it uses tree organic, 45 threshold angle, 4 raft layers and a bunch of advanced tweaks. I really tried to make sure the supports helped and were easy to rip off (everyone should have a small pair of needle nose to help but you won't need anything else here)
- The orientation is vertical to help with turret stability, no scaring on treads, and the new support and raft features very minimal scaring on the rear.
I have optimized this to take as little time as possible with the best detail as possible. If you do not care about how long it takes and you just want it to look at good as possible then go to Layer Height and change it to 0.08
Filament used in pic is eSUN, I love the price and quality a lot. I wish they would sponsor me because it's the only filament I use lol
Make sure to use the correct filament config for whatever you use, eSun's PLA is built into Bambu but you can download their other types from their website.
Boost MeI hope you enjoyed this one, a boost is very much appreciated!
I spent a lot of extra time working through supports to get this just right, I hope it pays off and prints great for you!
