Alexander the Great's Entry into Babylon 9 - 9

Within the space of no more than three months in 1812, Bertel Thorvaldsen executed a one-metre high and 35-metre-long relief frieze for the papal Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome on the occasion of the Emperor Napoleon’s planned visit to the city. The frieze is one of Thorvaldsen’s most outstanding works, and the motif is homage to Napoleon, the subject of which was Alexander the Great’s Triumphal Entry into Babylon. This motif was chosen as an ancient parallel to Napoleon’s arrival in Rome. The Alexander Frieze ensured Thorvaldsen’s position as one of the leading artists in Europe. Thorvaldsens Museum possesses the full-sized frieze both as an original model and as a plaster copy, and there is also a smaller marble version of the frieze in the museum.

The print has been made vertically for better layer blending, but in the file it is positioned flat on the bed for greater efficiency and reduced supports. However, if you want the highest quality, place it vertically, enable supports, and print it with a 0.2 nozzle if you consider it necessary.

En tan solo tres meses de 1812, Bertel Thorvaldsen ejecutó un friso en relieve de un metro de alto y 35 metros de largo para el Palacio del Quirinal, sede del Papa, en Roma, con motivo de la visita prevista del emperador Napoleón a la ciudad. El friso es una de las obras más destacadas de Thorvaldsen, y su motivo rinde homenaje a Napoleón, concretamente a la entrada triunfal de Alejandro Magno en Babilonia. Este motivo fue elegido como un paralelismo antiguo con la llegada de Napoleón a Roma. El Friso de Alejandro consolidó la posición de Thorvaldsen como uno de los artistas más importantes de Europa. El Museo Thorvaldsen posee el friso a tamaño real, tanto el modelo original como una copia en yeso, y también una versión más pequeña en mármol.

La impresión se ha realizado en vertical para una mejor mimetización de las capas, pero en el archivo esta apoyada con la cama para mayor eficiencia y reducción de soportes, pero si quieres la mayor calidad ponla en vertical, habilita soportes e imprímelo con boquilla 0,2 si lo ves necesario.
