The Parametric Holder is a fully adaptable design system that transforms to fit your exact space and needs. Whether you want a single elegant spiral vase, a 3x5 honeycomb grid of plant propagation tubes, or a cascading desk organizer with your name carved into the base, this model can generate it instantly.
Designed with premium aesthetic details like organic "root" transitions, a unified pill-shaped base, and perfectly rounded flask-style rims, this looks like high-end ceramic decor straight off your build plate.
Β
β¨ Premium Features:
- Watertight Engineering: The code automatically generates a solid 4mm thick floor inside every tube, ensuring it can hold water for plant cuttings without leaking.
- Support-Free Personalization: Add custom text to the front of the base! Choose "carved" for a sleek, debossed look that prints 100% support-free.
- Unified Base: Tubes don't just sit on a tray; the base dynamically "shrink-wraps" around whatever layout you choose, providing extreme stability for top-heavy plants or tall pens.
ποΈ How to Customize (Using the MakerWorld Customizer): Click the "Customize" button to open the parametric builder. You have total control over the following tabs:
- 1. Layout & Grid: Change the number of Columns and Rows. Toggle between a standard square grid or an interlocking honeycomb layout.
- 2. Tube Dimensions: Adjust the inner diameter (great for chunky Monstera nodes or thick markers), the default height, and wall thickness.
- 3. Aesthetic Style: Change the texture! Choose from Smooth, Faceted (low-poly), Fluted, or Spiral. You can even add a "Splay Angle" to make the tubes lean outward like a blooming bouquet.
- 4. Skyline Heights: Don't settle for a flat top! Use the presets to make your tubes look like a Wave, a Pyramid, or an Ascending staircase. (Or choose "Custom" and type in your exact heights!).
- 5. Custom Label: Type in your plant names, a quote, or your own name, and choose if you want the text carved in or embossed out.
π¨ Multi-Color Printing (Bambu AMS Workflow): Want the base to be Terracotta and the tubes to be Green? Because OpenSCAD generates complex math, you have to export the parts separately to color them in Bambu Studio. Itβs super easy!
- In the Customizer, scroll down to the [6. Multi-Color Export] tab.
- Change the dropdown from "all" to "base_body". Click Generate, then Export the STL.
- Change the dropdown to "tubes". Click Generate, then Export the STL.
- Change the dropdown to "rims". Click Generate, then Export the STL.
- Open Bambu Studio and drag the Base STL onto your build plate.
- Right-click the Base, select Add Part > Load, and select your Tubes and Rims. They will snap perfectly into place! Now you can assign different filaments to each part.
π¨οΈ Printing & Watertight Tips:
- Material: PETG is highly recommended if using this for water/plants. It has superior layer adhesion compared to PLA.
- Walls/Perimeters: Use 3 to 4 wall loops in your slicer to guarantee a thick, leak-proof outer shell.
- Supports: NONE! The entire model, including the carved text and base, is mathematically designed to print without supports.
