Tired of annoying fruit flies circling your fruit bowl? This simple and discreet trap will help you take control of your kitchen.
🛠️ Preparing the filling (Step by step):
For best results, we recommend making this proven and environmentally friendly bait at home.
Pour the lure: Pour approximately 1 cm of apple cider vinegar, beer or sweet wine into the bottom of the trap. The smell of fermenting fruit will reliably attract fruit flies.
Add the secret ingredient: Add a single drop of regular liquid soap or Jar for dishes. This step is key - the soap breaks the surface tension of the liquid and the fruit flies will immediately sink when they land.
Close the trap: Firmly place the orange perforated lid on the body of the trap.
Place at the source: Place the trap on the kitchen counter as close as possible to fruit, the sink or the trash can - in short, where the insects are most likely to be found.
✨ Effective trapping tip:
Before placing the trap, make sure there are no other food sources nearby (throw away or hide overripe fruit in time) so that the fruit flies have no choice but to follow the scent of your trap. Replace the bait as needed, ideally once a week.
