Single Row Coffee Mug/Cup Shelf

Boost MeBop it, twist it, boost it!

 

By popular request from absolutely no one on my last model (the Wide Coffee Mug/Cup Shelf) I created a single row model for those who may not have the same amount of space or wanted to use less filament!

 

So, same as the first but a little bit smaller!

 

If your house is anything like mine, it’s overflowing with cups and coffee mugs from all over the world, with no signs of the collection slowing down.

 

This is a smaller solution than my original as I wanted something that fit my home's aesthetic and also wanted to provide that option for others! I created a rack that holds up to two mugs and provides additional storage below.

 

This effectively doubled my cabinet space and eliminated the need to stack mismatched cups and mugs.

 

The top platform offers 214mm x 115mm (8.4" deep x 4.5" wide) of usable space, large enough to comfortably hold 2 mugs. The underside provides 115mm (4.5") of clearance for additional cups, which fits most standard sizes in my experience. Keep in mind that oversized or decorative mugs may not fit, so it’s best to measure before printing.

 

I've optimized the infill and wall count to minimize the filament necessary for a strong print.

 

Support combs have been added to improve stability at taller heights. They add only about 10g of material while significantly improving print results.

 

 

In order to remove them, simply bend them back and for and they will break off. You may need to clean off some nubs that are left behind, but they removed easily with either a scraper or my finger nail.
