Description
This guitar model was another one of my fans requests. I made this miniature model of Alex Lifeson's guitar. His was a Gibson ES-355 that he nicknamed “whitey”. Alex Lifeson’s "Whitey" (a 1976 Gibson ES-355TD) was his primary studio and stage guitar from 1976 to 2015, featuring on all albums from A Farewell to Kings (1977) to Test for Echo (1996). It is famously associated with the studio recording of the "Limelight" solo, the intro to "Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres," and live performances of most songs during that era. I made the mistake of printing the fretboard with the wrong inlays on my model. I corrected this in the print profile.
I printed this model using Sunlu PLA white (from the CYMK bundle), black, brown, and tan. Elegoo PLA Silk in silver and gold. And AMZ3D light grey.
I assembled the model using super glue and for the strings I use fishing wire.
