Description
Replacement/upgraded case for your pass-through adjustable wrench set.
Designed specifically around the Crescent version: https://www.crescenttool.com/all-tools/wrenches-pliers-drivers/adjustable-wrenches/cptaw8-11-piece-pass-thrutm-x6tm-black-oxide-adjustable-wrench-and-spline-socket-set
It will probably fit other brands too (measure first, it's a long print).
My original packaging/case broke, and would no longer hold the wrench.
This is designed to hold magnets, which work well to hold the wrench in place. The sockets are not as magnetic, but it holds well enough. As you can see from the picture, it's strong enough to hold the entire set (with the tools inside) to the side of my truck.
There is a built-in pause at layer 28 (std 0.20mm) to add the magnets. Suggest using a drop of super glue to hold them in place. The printer will print over them on the subsequent layer.
DO NOT USE A HARDENED STEEL NOZZLE! Stainless will work fine and not stick to the magnets. If you have a Bambu, it's the silver one that likely came with the printer.
Make sure to face all of the magnets' polarity in the same direction; i.e., you don't want one of the 3 wrench magnets to repel.
Easiest way to do this is to stack them all together and slide them in one-by-one from the stack as you place them.
MAGNETS:
5x 32mm (1.26") x 3.2mm (.125") https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KDBJWC?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1
4x 60x10x3mm bars: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZMSHN4F?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1
The lid clips with some small plastic latches, and features fuzzy skin around the outside for better grip. Remove the fuzzy skin painting for a faster print.
The lettering is added via the slicer so you can change it to whatever you like (no downloading STLs required).
Socket positions are labeled with both the SAE and metric sizes (universal).
