Altoids Tin Sewing Kit - Magnetic

 

A great little kit for on the go or travel.  Keep it in your car, travel bag, trailer, boat, purse or wherever you may need it.  

 

It holds 3 metal or plastic sewing machine bobbins with thread, needles and has 2 extra compartments for accessories, (buttons, safety pins, small needle threader etc.).

 

Finger notches for easy removal of the bobbins.  A very easy and convenient kit to use.

 

Each compartment has a 5mmx3mm magnet inserted with a drop of glue from the back.  The longer compartments have 2 magnets.  The magnets give a gently hold keeping things in place but only lightly so everything removes easily. No needles sliding all over.

 

Some of the magnets go fairly deep in their pocket, so I have made them an easy slide fit.  I used a drop of super glue in the hole and gently slide them in with a piece of scrap filament to seat them in the bottom.

 

The insert fits quite tight in the tin to ensure it stays in place.
