IKEA UPPDATERA MEETS SKÅDIS

Short Description

A lightweight, modular holder that lets you mount the IKEA UPPDATERA box onto the SKÅDIS system with maximum efficiency and minimal filament use. Designed to be fast, sturdy, and practical. The main feature of this combination is its cost effectiveness. Up to date the UPPDATERA box can be bought for under 2 € in Germany. With around 280 gram weight (≈0.6 lb), even with a low filament spool price of under 10€/kg you cant beat that price by printing your own storage solution with similar properties.

 

I made a 2 Week load test to get an overall feeling if this design is sturdy. Starting with 1kg (≈ 2.2lb) in the first week and adding another 1kg (≈ 2kg/4.4lb in sum) for another week. Just using 2 mounts. Everything worked out very well without issues.
