These 20mm (1/72 scale) Soviet army units are specifically designed for small-scale wargaming. Standing at exactly 2cm tall, they are the perfect size for playing Bolt Action on a smaller footprint. This allows you to swap inches for centimeters and play a full-scale battle on a desk or dinner table.
The Model Set
This pack includes a variety of poses for a standard German Infantry Platoon, including:
- Riflemen in various advancing and firing poses.
- NCO/Officers for your command teams.
- LMG Teams for squad support.
- Mortar Team for indirect fire.
- T34
- Support
It is set up to make a 1000 point army.
Scale & Use Case
- Scale: 1/72 (20mm). Each figure is approx. 20mm/2cm tall.
- Game System: Perfect for Bolt Action, Chain of Command, or Battlegroup.
- The "Coffee Table" Hack: Use these minis to play Bolt Action by simply measuring in Centimeters instead of Inches. This turns a standard 6'x4' battlefield into a manageable coffee-table-sized engagement without losing any tactical depth.
Technical & Print Settings
These models have been meticulously cleaned and tested to ensure they print reliably on FDM and Resin printers.
- Nozzle: 0.2mm recommended for best detail (0.4mm works but loses fine features).
- Layer Height: 0.08mm - 0.12mm.
- Supports: Tree supports (Auto) with Tree Slim works best.
- Basing: Pre-based on low-profile 20mm circular bases for stability.
The Workflow (AI-Assisted Design)
I created these models using an bizzare and unexpected AI-to-3D pipeline:
- Image Generation: Designed using Gemini Pro and ChatGpt Images.
- 3D Mesh Generation: Rendered via Meshy-AI.
- Refinement: Extensive manual cleanup in Blender to fix manifold errors, sharpen weapon details, and ensure the scale is perfectly uniform at 2cm.
- Testing: Every pose in this pack has been physically printed and verified (see photos).
