Repair Plate for 170° Cabinet Hinge - Door Side

This is a cabinet hinge repair support plate designed for a 170° Lazy Susan / bi-fold cabinet hinge.
This repair plate is for the part of the hinge that attaches to the cabinet door.

I made this after the screws ripped out of our Lazy Susan cabinet door and couldn't find a 3D-printable repair plate online that would fit our particular hinge. The goal of this part is to reinforce the hinge mounting area and give the screws more material to bite into. The placement of the screw holes in the repair plate were in consideration for cabinet doors with narrow ledges like what we have (see pictures), but should work just fine with cabinet doors with just flat backs.

 

I designed this plate around this particular hinge from Home Depot:

Recommended print settings:
- Wall Loops: 5
- Sparse infill density: 30%

I used four #8 × 5/8" flat-head square-drive wood screws from Home Depot to mount the repair plate. I recommend using similar fasteners from your local hardware store.

Installation notes:
- Test-fit the support plate before final installation. 
- It is recommended to drill pilot holes first before installing the screws. This is especially recommended if the cabinet is made from MDF, particle board, or the original holes are already stripped.
- Make sure your screw length will not poke through the cabinet door or panel.
- Tighten fasteners by hand and do not overtighten.
- It is recommended to print this for all the hinges of the cabinet door being repaired, regardless if they need it or not, so that the cabinet door is balanced evenly across all hinges.
