Universal TPU Jack Pad – Safe Lifting Adapter

Description

This TPU jack pad is designed to protect the factory jacking points of your vehicle during lifting with a floor jack or workshop lift.

Unlike rigid materials such as PLA or PETG, TPU provides controlled flexibility that helps distribute the load and reduces the risk of scratching or deforming the vehicle’s underbody coating.

The model is intended for DIY use in garages and workshops.

Important: Use this model at your own risk. Always verify correct positioning before lifting the vehicle. The author assumes no responsibility for damage to the vehicle, tools, or injury resulting from improper use.

Recommended Print Settings

Material

  • TPU (recommended hardness: Shore 95A–98A)

Layer Height

  • 0.20 mm

Walls / Perimeters

  • 5–6 walls

Top/Bottom Layers

  • 6–8 layers

Infill

  • 35–50% Gyroid or Cubic

Print Speed

  • Outer wall: 25–30 mm/s
  • Inner walls: 30–40 mm/s
  • Infill: 35–45 mm/s
  • First layer: 15–20 mm/s

Nozzle Temperature

  • 220–235 °C (depending on TPU brand)

Bed Temperature

  • 40–60 °C

Cooling

  • 30–50%

Supports

  • Not required (depending on model geometry)

Brim

  • Recommended (5–8 mm)

Why TPU?

The jack pad should not be completely rigid. A small amount of flexibility allows the adapter to:

  • absorb local pressure,
  • conform to slight irregularities,
  • improve grip between the jack and the vehicle,
  • reduce the risk of damage to painted or coated surfaces.

Usage Instructions

  1. Inspect the print for any defects before use.
  2. Position the pad correctly on the jack saddle.
  3. Align with the vehicle’s designated jacking point.
  4. Lift the vehicle slowly and verify stability.
  5. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack—always use jack stands.
