Modular Pixel Art Tile System

This model is a modular 3D printed pixel-art display made from individual square tiles that connect together with small circular linking cylinders. Each tile represents one pixel, creating a clean blocky mosaic style that can be used for many different designs.

The system is fully customizable. It can be used to create Minecraft-style faces, animals, cartoon characters, kids’ drawings, logos, icons, game-inspired art, or any pixel image you can imagine. By changing the tile colors and layout, the same modular system can become a completely different artwork.

Each square tile uses one solid color, making the design easy to print, sort, and assemble. The visible connectors give the model a unique mechanical 3D printed look while keeping the pixel-art style clear and simple.

Plate 1 – Tiles
Choose your color and print as many square tiles as you need for your design.

 

Plate 2 – Frame
Print the frame in the color you prefer.

The included frame is designed for an 8x8 tile layout.Each extra long frame extension increases the size by 3 tiles, for example:

11x8 11x11
14x8
14x11
and so on

 

Plate 3 – Connectors
These are the small cylindrical connectors used to link the tiles together. Print as many connectors as you need for your artwork.

For the 30 mm tile version, the connectors print well without a brim.For the 15 mm tile version, I recommend using a brim for safer and more reliable printing.

 

Plate 4 – Extra Frame x1 & x2
Additional frame extension pieces are included for more flexible size options.

The x1 and x2 extra frame pieces allow you to extend the frame by 1 tile or 2 tiles, so you can cover all possible layout combinations together with the standard 3-tile extension system.

This allows you to create custom sizes such as:

Safety Warning

The connector cylinders are very small parts and may present a choking hazard for young children.

This model is not recommended for children who still put objects in their mouth. Children should only handle or assemble the parts under adult/guardian supervision and only at an age where they can safely use small parts.
