SlotWorks Modular Shelf System is a lightweight and expandable shelf platform designed around 2020 / 8020-style T-slot extrusion and optimized for 3D printing.  The shelf should fit any cubicle walls and is adjustable from 1.3 to 2.4" walls. The open modular design allows shelves to be expanded vertically and horizontally as much as desired, making it easy to build anything from a small desk organizer to a large multi-level workspace setup.

Shelf Dimensions:

Depth: 6in Width: 9in

Buy crossbeam 2020 t slot aluminum in 9-inch increments per shelf. If you want two side by side shelves buy an 18in crossbeam or if you want 4 shelves buy a 36in crossbeam.

Print out as many additional shelves and shelf keys (the small piece that fits between shelves) as you need!

Assembly Notes

The base file (2 shelves) needs 24 M5 8mm screws and nuts. Each additional shelf requires 2 more. 

If you start a new row, you need an additional 8 M5 8mm screws and nuts + 2 for each shelf you want.

A set screw is intended to be used at the top of each post to reduce rattle. You can just use the screw to form the threads in the 2020 or tap them to a standard M5 (0.8 pitch with course spacing). A 30mm long screw is recommended.

Recommended Print Settings

Material: PLA

Layer Height: 0.2 mm

Wall Loops: 2 except for the 3rd object of each shelf bracket being 4 walls. 

Infill: 15%

Supports: Engineered Supports (Do not include supports)
