Description
This is a 3D printable accessory mounting plate designed for the 2nd Gen Toyota Tacoma. It mounts just above the factory A/C controls and gives you a clean, functional place to mount small accessories without drilling random holes throughout the dash.
The main mounting surface is designed to accept 1/4-20 heat-set inserts, making it compatible with many RAM-style ball mounts, phone mounts, GPS mounts, radio mounts, and other common accessory setups. The mount also includes accessory clip locations that can be used for small gear like a flashlight, pocket knife, radio mic, small tool, or other lightweight items you want within easy reach.
This was designed as a practical interior utility mount for Tacoma owners who want better organization and more mounting options while keeping the install simple and clean.
This part is intended for use inside a vehicle, so material choice matters. Do not print this in PLA or PETG for long-term use. Vehicle interiors can get hot enough to soften, warp, or creep lower-temperature materials, especially with a mount or accessory attached.
Recommended materials:
For most users, ASA or ABS is a good choice. For a stronger premium version, a carbon-fiber or glass-fiber nylon would be ideal.
Install using #8 screws in the mounting locations above the A/C controls. Heat-set inserts should be installed carefully so the RAM mount or accessory hardware sits flush and tight. Make sure all mounted accessories are secure before driving.
This is a DIY printed accessory part. Fitment may vary slightly depending on printer calibration, material, hardware, and truck condition. Do not mount heavy items or anything that could interfere with safe driving, airbags, shifter movement, visibility, or vehicle controls.
