display system for small plants and figurines

As my air plant collection continues to grow, I find myself running out of window sill to put them on. So, I designed this display unit to make the most of my vertical window space. It prints very easily and with minimal filament and supports, and is easy to install. The segments slot together without hardware, but I do recommend that you screw this into the window casement or wall to secure it. The top and bottom segments have holes for regular sized wood screws. you can print internal segments with or without screw holes. For my own window, I alternated segments with and without screw holes, so that I used 4 on each side. This makes it very sturdy and it hasn't budged at all since I installed it.

 

I've made a few different sizes of the shelves so you can mix and match. Some are designed to slide in on the left side, some are designed to slide in on the right, and there's a plate of centered shelves if you want to put the display segments someplace where they will be facing out and not butting up against a window.  You can space them tightly together or far apart, whatever your preference. 

 

CAUTION: This is only intended for very light, small plants and holders. Everything you see on shelves is 3D printed, and the holders and plants each weigh maybe 35g maximum. Do not put heavy things on these shelves as it will not hold the weight!
