Print Settings (Pre-configured in Bambu Studio)
The provided 3mf project file has been customized and tuned specifically for high durability and structural strength, prioritizing part longevity over filament savings.
- Recommended Material: PETG or ASA (essential for soil moisture and UV survival).
Assembly Instructions
- Clean Joints: Make sure interlocking rims and pin holes are clean of debris / dirt.
- Install Floor: Snap the grid drainage plate into the bottom-most segment.
- Twist Sections: Align the next segment and turn it clockwise.
- Insert Lock Pins: Push pins into the holes around the seam (up to 6 per level) to anchor the sections. Repeat for remaining segments.
💡 Tip: Due to printer tolerances, if you find the lock pins fit too loosely or tightly, simply adjust their scale by 1% or 2% in your slicer before printing. Also the print profile only includes 5 pins, you may want to clone as many as you need.
Installation
- Dig a 130mm wide hole deep enough for the lattice sections.
- Insert the tower, keeping the optional above-ground section and lid just above the soil line.
- Backfill with soil, add kitchen scraps with shredded paper, and let the worms do the rest.
